Its yearly celebration which the day George Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage List of Cities and Sites on July 7, 2008. This holiday is usually celebrated with cultural events which highlight the buildings, heritage and history of the site.
This year’s Celebrations will be featuring 20 cultural performances, 9 cultural workshops and 8 mini-documentary films, highlighting the importance of arts, culture and heritage.
Each calendar year, the festival has a different theme, and the event will revolve around the theme. As for 2016, the theme was “Mai Main” or Let’s Play, where the events related to traditional games and sports.
